"The Journal and the Conference"

Since 1990, an Annual Conference on the Role of the Imagination in Language Learning" has been held at New Jersey City University, which is across the Hudson River from New York. Subways, bridges, busses and taxis make the Big Apple about 30 minutes from the campus. The Conference is held in late April, when spring is unquestionably here. Some 400 educators and administrators from kindergarten through college hear a distinguished keynote speaker and participate in a total of more than 20, seventy-minute workshops.

Several of these workshops concentrate on a single special area. In both the Journal and the Conference, the dissemination of interesting ideas is foremost. Accordingly, fees have been held as low as possible. For example, in 2002, the Conference fee was $15 (fifteen dollars) which included continental breakfast.
