NJCU is committed to the development of citizen leaders who are prepared to make positive contributions for the greater good and therefore makes a strong commitment to student leadership. The University provides opportunities that not only encompass student leadership concepts and skills but that also focus on personal development. These include:
- The Student Government Organization
- The official body of clubs
- Organizations
- Student representation on campus
The National Society for Leadership and Success
In addition to campus-specific clubs and organizations, student leadership is also developed through The National Society for Leadership and Success, a worldwide organization that offers leadership education for college students. The program integrates a yearlong speaker series with interactive components, training in goal setting, and team meetings in which student leaders set and hold each other accountable for achieving goals.
