Created in the spirit of academic freedom and shared governance, the NJCU University Senate enables members of NJCU’s academic community to participate in decision-making and governance of the University. The Senate consists of:

- NJCU students

Each non-student member serves a two-year term; NJCU students are elected for a one-year term.
