Research Activities

SURI’s vision is to engage all of our undergraduate students across the STEM disciplines in cutting-edge scientific research.

Why is Research Valuable?

Participating in undergraduate research gives you the opportunity to:

✓ Work one-on-one with internationally distinguished faculty;

✓ Participate in cutting-edge research projects with far-reaching impact;

✓ Make significant contributions to a field you care about; and

✓ Enhance your competitiveness for graduate or professional school admission or high-level employment.

How Do I Get Started?

STEP 1: Identify the faculty member with whom you want to do research.

Are you still wondering if research is for you?

Schedule a meeting with the SURI Founder and Director Dr. Natalia Coleman at

“Students Research Opportunities”

There are several mechanisms to participate in research: volunteering, research courses, summer internships, scholarships for Spring and Fall semesters. Please discuss the specific mechanism to enroll into research with the research faculty member you plan to do research.
