    The 16th Annual Statewide "Diversity Issues in Higher Education" conference will be held on Friday, November 18, at

    New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NJ.

    This year's theme is The Charge to Lead Diversity and Inclusion in a Climate of Globalization.

    This conference is the premier event within the tri-state area addressing critical diversity challenges in academia, the community, and the workplace. The day-long event will include dynamic speakers and thought-provoking breakout sessions for attendees from corporate America, HR/career advancement, education, nonprofit and government sectors as well as the general public.

    The conference will take place in the Gilligan Student Union, Multipurpose Room, 2nd floor.  It is open to students, alumni, faculty and staff from colleges and universities, corporate affiliates and the general public. 

    RATES: (includes breakfast and lunch): 
    $65 general public
    $35 students

    NJCU 35th Annual Puerto Rico Discovery Day Celebration

    Gilligan Student Union Building, Multipurpose Room B

    Please join us at 11:50 a.m. in front of Hepburn Hall Lawn, as we raise the PuertoRican flag and sing our National Anthem, "La Borinquena" which will be performed by Ms. Judy Torres, Queen of Freestyle.

    Following this we will gather at GSUB, Multipurpose Room B, where the celebration begins !!!!

    Guest Speakers: Former NJCU President, Dr. Carlos Hernandez, and Ms. Judy Torres, Queen of Freestyle.

    Latin Cuisine and entertainment.

The game in question is that of a life lived in the arts.”
