    NJCU Alumni Jazz Big Band Tribute to Lew Soloff

    Guest artists Randy Brecker (trumpet) and Lou Marini (saxophone), backed by the NJCU Alumni Jazz Big Band, pay tribute to trumpeter Lew Soloff. Bring a picnic and take in stunning views of Manhattan while enjoying this salute to the talented musician whose soaring trumpet solos became the hallmark of Blood Sweat &Tears, the hit band from 1960s and 70s.

    SPEAKER: NAILA AWA, ESQ.

    Naila Awan is a civil and human rights lawyer with the public

    policy organization, Demos. Her work addresses practices and

    policies that disproportionately impact people of color, restrict

    the ability of individuals to engage in the democratic process,

    and repress voices of traditionally marginalized communities.
