Moments An MFA Exhibition by Hao Feng

    Location:

    United States
    Time:11:00 AM5:00 PM

The Harold B. Lemmerman Gallery presents:

    Moments
    An MFA Exhibition
    by Hao Feng

    April 25 - May 6, 2016
    Artist Reception: April 27, 5 - 8 p.m.

Hao Feng's design project, Moments is a brand-experience concept that reminds people to enjoy the present moment. As Marina Abramović pointed out, "We always project into the future or reflect in the past, but we are so little in the present." Feng wants to give viewers delight by her performance in an interactive way. With her cloud sculpture on the floor, viewers can imagine watching sky clouds lying down. Or she can ask them about their "special moments," then create illustrations, posters, animations, and sculptures where these special moments are gathered and shared. Feng hopes to offer a state of mind for the viewers and to create a threshold space that would allow them to pause and appreciate daily experiences in their everyday lives.
