    NJCU’s Symphony of Winds and Percussion tours to area high schools with a concert that spans the centuries, from J. S. Bach’s rarely performed Contrapunctus IX (1751) to Nate Kimball’s fantastical Gilead (2014). The program also includes: Kitty Hawk (John Cheetham), Chorale and Alleluia (Howard Hanson), There Will Come Soft Rains (Patrick Burns), Beneath the Orange Trees (Joaquin Turina), O Magnum Mysterium (Morton Lauridsen), and Dawn Flight (Philip Wilby). All performances are free and open to the public.

    Wife-and-husband artist duo Livia Ungur and Sherng-Lee Huang work primarily in video, as well as sculpture, installation, and performance. Livia was born in communist Romania and came to America to study art; Sherng-Lee grew up in Tennessee and directed documentaries and comedy videos. They will present and speak about their work via the IMAP (Integrated Media Arts Production) program.
