    The MA Program

The Art Department offers a 39-credit Master of Fine Arts (MA) degree program. The MA degree is recommended for those professionals in the field who wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge for advancement or who wish to engage a new direction in the studio arts. The MA program is designed to offer our students a thesis track in studio art specialized courses. The MA Academic Planning sheet outlines the course groupings and electives. Course descriptions may be found in the NJCU Graduate catalogue (http://www.njcu.edu/graduate/pdf/catalog.pdf).

Our Graduate program is designed to accommodate both full-time and part-time/working students. Most classes are offered in the evenings and some meet at individually scheduled times. Each MA student receives access to all the main studios, classrooms, and workshops.
