Five-Year Combined Bachelor of Science to Master of Science in Accounting
(Bridge Program)
The combined B.S. / M.S. in Accounting Program serves the needs of NJCU undergraduates who intend to enter the accounting profession. The 150-credit program (120-undergraduate credits and 30-graduate credits) allows students to meet the current educational requirements to be licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New Jersey.
The program is divided into two phases:
B.S. Phase - Completion of bachelor’s degree requirements, 120 total undergraduate credits, plus 9 graduate credits. The graduate credits are applied to both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Students pay the undergraduate tuition rate for the nine graduate credits.
M.S. Phase - Prior to the start of this M.S. phase, students formally apply for admission as graduate students into the M.S. Accounting program. Students then pay the graduate tuition rate for the remaining 21 graduate credits.
Graduate courses are held at NJCU at HARBORSIDE located at Financial Center Plaza 4A, 286 Washington Street, Jersey City, New Jersey, 07302 as well as at NJCU at Brookdale located at 800 Monmouth Boulevard, Wall, New Jersey, 07719.
Formal application to the program can be made during the term in which the student has completed 90 undergraduate credits towards the baccalaureate degree.
