    • Prior to the practicum, students must pass the writing assessment. Information on the test is located on the College of Education website.
    • Prior to the internship, elementary, secondary including art and music education as well as early childhood students must pass the appropriate Praxis II test. The passing score including sub-scores must be submitted to the CTPP.
    • Practicum and internship students must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 at the time of registration into a field placement.

    • The College of Education policy does not allow for changes in secured school placements for both practicum and internship. A secured placement is defined as one where the school has already accepted the student.
    • Interns should not carry more than a total of 15 credits during internship semester. This credit load includes both the internship and concurrent seminars. Exceptions must be approved by the department chairperson.
    • It is expected that practicum and internship students attend the appropriate orientation the week prior to the start of the semester.
