We pride ourselves on being responsive to the needs of our students. The Dean’s Office has an “open door” to help students with academic related issues and can direct students to the correct offices to resolve their problems.
Do not hesitate to talk with your instructor if you are having difficulties; most can be resolved simply and easily if they are dealt with promptly and directly. If you are unable to come to an agreement with the instructor, speak with the chairperson of the department. If an issue cannot be resolved at the departmental level, the Dean’s Office is typically the next step. In most cases the Dean's Office will attempt to bring the various parties together to resolve any differences. All students filing grievances must complete and submit a student assistance form to document their problem and to assure the correct procedure is followed. The student assistance form is available below or from the Dean's Office.
