The Computer Science Department at New Jersey City University offers an academic experience that focuses on studying and mastering state-of-the-art theories and applications. Our academic programs consist of a range of courses that form a solid foundation in essential areas of the computer science discipline, followed by advanced courses in higher level specialized subjects. The NJCU Computer Science degree prepares students for careers in the professional world as well as for advanced study in graduate level programs.
Computer Science emerged from the fields of mathematics and engineering, therefore the knowledge acquired in this area of study is applicable in a wide range of environments that require the integration of technological concepts.
The Computer Science faculty are actively engaged in the academic and professional arena serving as consultants to major corporations and implementing projects and activities that enrich the teaching/ learning experience for our students. Our faculty bring the depth and breadth of knowledge and experience gained from prestigious institutions and corporations into the classroom and coursework.
