  • Perkins Loan Entrance Interview

    Federal regulations stated that borrowers who are awarded the Federal Perkins Loan are required to complete first complete an entrance counseling session, sign a Master Promissory Note and disclosure statement.

    Entrance Counseling Session

    The entrance counseling session MUST be completed online at: www.mappingyourfuture.org.
    This counseling session will inform you of your rights and responsibilities as a borrower of the Perkins Loan.
    Once you complete the entrance counseling an email confirmation of your session will be sent directly to the New Jersey City University Perkins Loan Coordinator within 24 hours. The next step is to sign your Master Promissory Note.

    Master Promissory Note & Disclosure Statement 

    The Federal Perkins Loan Master Promissory Note can be obtained from the following link: NJCU Master Promissory Note or it can also be completed with the Perkins Loan Coordinator in the Bursars Office, Hepburn Hall - Room 106.

    Please note the following when completing the Master Promissory Note: 
    Section A: Borrower Section - Must be completed either typed or printed legibly in ink.
    Section B: School Selection - Will be completed by the Perkins Loan Coordinator

    You must sign and date the Promissory Note in ink on page 1 at the bottom and return it to the Perkins Loan Coordinator in the Bursars Office, Hepburn Hall - Room 106.

    The Disclosure Statement will be provided upon competition of the Master Promissory Note.
