1/04- present Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, New Jersey City University.
Maintained the office of vice president during search for provost/vice president.
Responsibilities included coordinating new program development (master of science in finance, master of fine arts in media, bachelor of fine arts in creative writing); collaborating with deans in college of education, college of professional studies, college of arts and sciences, and graduate and continuing education office to prepare division budget, program development, program review, outcomes assessment planning, and recruiting of diverse faculty; hiring of new faculty for 04-05 academic year; strategic planning with cabinet members; coordination of academic opportunities for University Academy Charter High School; developing partnerships with local school district for deliver of program for disabled students and for high school students interested in the visual and performing arts.

7/02- 12/03 Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, New Jersey City Universe.
Increased responsibilities including editor of university catalog and other academic publications (The Academic Forum, Transformations); budget coordination and preparation for division involving written justification for operating, salary and capital requests in division; coordination of decision wide outcomes assessment planning; initiating and revising academic policies (academic integrity policy, science misconduct policy, OPRA policy and procedures, university-wide ethics policy; educational technology policies, etc.); developing program articulations with community colleges for program offerings in education, business, and criminal justice at off campus sites; and former responsibilities of assistant vice president.

Responsible for reviewing and revising articulation agreements; reviewing documents for grant accountability; managing faculty and professional staff programs; reviewing college wide policies as it affects academic information; maintains line authority for six academic support and special grant funded projects.

8/94 - 8/95 Coordinator, Office of Specialized Services, Jersey City State College.
Responsible for creating and operating office designed to provide supportive services to college students with disabilities at JCSC. Services ranged from coordination with other college support systems to development of alternate test taking, tutoring, interpretive and note taking services.

Responsible for coordinating and expanding college sponsored programs at school; creative programming for faculty, student and community development; coordinating child study team meetings and new admissions processing with 18 school districts; coordinating school wide standardized testing as well as non-standard administration of PSAT and SAT; overseeing record keeping and sharing of student information; and preparing of state and county education accountability reports. Ten month contract.

Responsible for implementing and managing social work program in school; developing and maintaining cooperative community relations; coordinating school based services between school and home; developing and maintaining successfully transition programs for disabled teenagers; and managing client case load of children with physical disabilities and their families. Merit Award recognition in 1982. Ten month contract.

9/88 - 8/95 Vice President for AHM, NJSFT-AFT, AFL-CIO, Council of NJ State College Locals, Local 1839.
Responsible for chairing and conducting grievances on behalf of faculty members; maintaining general communications between union leadership, unit members and administration; actively participating on College Health and Safety Committee and Library Security and Safety sub committee; and assisting in state wide contractual negotiations. Elected and paid position. Additional AFT commitments included AFT representative on the College Health and Safety Committee, and delegate for Council of NJ State College Locals.

Summers 1987 - 1995 Director, A. Harry Moore Camp, NJ School of Conservation, Stokes State Forest, New Jersey, residential summer camp program for severely disabled youth age 4-21 years.
Responsible for supervising camp operations including budget, hiring and implementation of program for 100 campers and 23 staff during summer months.

1987 - 1988 College Instructor, Jersey City State College. Course: Computer as a Tool.
Responsible for teaching two sections of introductory course on using Apple computers in academic research and writing.


1976 – 1986 (summers) Assistant Director, A. Harry Moore Camp.
Responsible for camp recreational programming; supervising and coordinating special directors who provided waterfront, computer, arts and crafts, and music activities for the campers; and assisting in coordination of staff training and staff grievances.

Responsible for legal research, legal writing, client consultation and client representation. Fields of practice included family law, estate planning and administration, real estate, worker's compensation, personal injury and administrative law.

Responsible for recruiting and coordinating a Board representing 20 communities in Middlesex County. Activities of the Board included fashion shows, displays and community events sponsored by A&S.

Responsible for coordinating child study team process on behalf of classified elementary and secondary school children and providing social work services.

Responsible for managing a case load of 50+ families on assistance; developing and coordinating group programs for troubled teenagers; and supervising homemaker programs designed to liberate poor women from welfare roles.
