Perhaps more than many other disciplines, the study of ceramics is the study of human history in all of its cultural diversity. From the most primitive pottery to highly sophisticated modern design, NJCU shares a breadth and depth of knowledge and expertise that is rare in the region.

In addition, NJCU offers one of the largest and best equipped ceramics studios, with 4,000 square feet of space as well as a beautiful outdoor work area. Studying with working professionals, you’ll learn conceptual, technical and practical aspects of ceramic art. Hand-built and thrown forms will be practiced along with mold making, glazing, firing, and decorating.
