Metals and Jewelry
The Jewelry/Metals program prepares you with the technical and design skills needed to succeed as a professional artist/craftsperson. You will become knowledgeable in the various materials and techniques needed to create body adornment and functional objects in both experimental and traditional methods. The study of how jewelry can
enhance the human body and make a personal statement about the wearer is a central focus.
NJCU’s Jewelry/Metals Studio is superbly equipped to offer every tool you need to explore and perfect your talent. The four-room studio has all the equipment needed for casting, construction, forming, forging, anodizing, and many other techniques. Our CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing) technology allows you to design and create your jewelry using the latest programs and equipment.
