Welcome to Campus Information Systems Website

In November 1998, New Jersey City University began a project to replace its existing mainframe systems with a suite of integrated enterprise-wide software applications licensed from PeopleSoft. This initiative was called IS Project 2000, and provided the University the opportunity to enable improved service to students, enhance the quality and timeliness of information, minimize duplication of administrative efforts, and build an infrastructure for the future.

Under the technology reorganization that occurred in the Fall of 2000, the IS Project 2000 was chartered as a Task Force under the aegis of the Information Technology Steering Committee and charged to develop a vision and strategy for the design of New Jersey City University's campus information systems, and to provide the knowledge and human resources that realize their development. In September 2001, the Task Force was renamed the Campus Information Systems Task Force.
