MA 112 Intermediate Algebra

Description of Course:

This course contains many topics usually taught in a second-year algebra course including functions and relations.  It is an advanced review of algebra designed for students who desire sufficient knowledge for Pre-Calculus and Calculus.  It is a useful aid for increasing one's ability to solve problems in business, nursing, education, and science.


Required Text:

Toby and Slater, Intermediate Algebra, 3rd edition, Prentice Hall, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 1997. Recommended: Student Solutions Manual. 

Prerequisite: Algebra for College (MA098) or equivalent. 

Required Calculator: 
TI-81, TI-82 or equivalent
