A senior, eligible for graduation/certification, must complete the 'Intent To Graduate Card' and 'Application For Certification' if applicable, at the Registrar's Office in Hepburn Hall, Room 214, between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm, or 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Office Of Academic Services For Evening Students (OASES), Gilligan Student Union Building, 1st Floor.

** Effective November 1, 2006, a $25 per application non-refundable Graduation Clearance Fee will be charged to all students upon filing for graduation cleareance. Your diploma will NOT be realeased if the Graduation fee is due or if a balance is due to New Jersey City University.

DEADLINES ARE:

1. May 18 to June 11, if the student expects to complete all requirements by the end of the Summer I or II Sessions. Transcripts and diplomas will be dated August 15 and diplomas will be available October 15.



2. August 3 to September 30, if the student expects to complete all requirements by the end of the fall semester. Transcripts and diplomas will be dated January 31, and diplomas will be available by March 15.



3. November 3 to December 12, if the student expects to complete all requirements by the end of the spring semester, transcripts and diplomas will be dated the date of Commencement and diplomas will be available by approximately June 15.



The Dean of Students will forward a letter during April to each graduating senior regarding participation in the May Commencement.

NOTE:   "Certification Only" Students file an application for certification with the Certification Processing Office in P-203.

Undergraduate Graduation Clearance Workshops 2008-2009

The purpose of the workshops are to prepare students for graduation by reviewing the process of graduation clearance, timelines, academic requirements and answer questions students may have about graduation requirements. The workshops are approximately 1 hour in length and include an additional session for review of individual academic pre-audit. Only students who pre-register will be able to participate in the audit component of the workshop.
