Early Childhood Education

Print
  • The Department of Early Childhood Education prepares distinguished educators who plan to work with children from birth through eight years of age in a variety of child-development and school settings. Emphasis is placed on current theory and research in child development and application to early childhood education practice.

We are dedicated to graduating knowledgeable, capable, and articulate educators who are reflective about their own teaching. We are also committed to the belief that education is transformative and empowering and that social justice can be best accomplished through an educated citizenry.

We invite you to explore our graduate and undergraduate programs and to contact us for more information. We look forward to welcoming you to the College of Education.
