    What is CSI? 

    CSI is an international honor society that values academic and professional excellence in counseling. Our mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, advocacy, and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling. 

    Membership 

    To be eligible for membership, you must have completed at least 9 credits in the Counseling Program with a GPA of 3.5 or better.  To apply, complete the online “New Member Application” and submit your membership fee through the CSI website. New members will be welcomed during the induction ceremony held April 30, 2013.  In order to participate in this year’s ceremony, please complete the online CSI application by April 1. 

    We welcome all counseling students to participate in many of the activities and functions we sponsor.  If you have any questions, please contact Nu Eta Sigma President, Tesha Mateo, at njcunuetasigma@gmail.com.

    In this workshop, you’ll learn the essentials of using PowerPoint as well as tips on delivering successful presentations. You’ll also learn about Prezi, a free cloud-based demonstration software.     Are you a student in the School Counseling program who needs help navigating school certification? Then this workshop is for you! Cynthia Vazquez from the Center for Teacher Preparation and Partnership will walk you through everything you need to know about obtaining your school certification. If you would like to attend, please email Liz Hickey at ehickey@njcu.edu or stop by the Counseling Office, R536.
