Composition Program

  • The WRAP

The Writing and Reading Assessment Profile (WRAP) is given in all Reading and Writing Across the Disciplines, RWAD II, and College Writing Independent Study classes. The WRAP includes a reading passage. Students are required to read the passage and write an essay in response to a question on the reading. The WRAP is scored according to criteria defined on the WRAP Essay Rubric.

English Department Composition Program exam scores are available on GothicNet. Scores are accessible to students, faculty, administrators, and advisors. Please note that exam scores are not mailed to students. For information on how to view your WRAP score click here.

The meaning of your WRAP score depends on what composition course(s) you have already taken. Please consult the Composition Course Eligibility Requirements.
