Vida, a staff electrician at New Jersey City University, is the recipient
of the Employee of the Month Award for May 2007.
Mr. Vida has been employed at the University since 1977. Prior to joining the staff of NJCU, Mr. Vida worked as an electrician with private contractors.
Mr. Vida troubleshoots, maintains, and installs electrical systems in all University buildings and on campus grounds. He also works to ensure that all events on University property have appropriate lighting and electrical systems. In addition, Mr. Vida ensures that electrical functions are in compliance with all state and federal codes.
In his leisure time, Mr. Vida travels to lighthouses and enjoys many maritime activities.
Mr. Vida resides in Bayonne with Carol, his wife of 30 years. They are the parents of two daughters, Amy and Debby.
