Dinesh
Parikh, payroll manager at New Jersey City University, is the recipient
of the Employee of the Month Award for July 2007.
Mr. Parikh joined the staff of the University in 1985 as an accountant in the Controller's Office and five years later was promoted to the title of payroll manager. As payroll manager, he supervises a staff of three employees.
His duties include managing all of the payroll functions at the University. Mr. Parikh is responsible for ensuring that employees are paid on a timely basis and that their checks are accurate in regard to deductions and taxes. He is also responsible for forwarding all pension and tax deductions to the appropriate agencies and vendors. In addition, Mr. Parikh also ensures that all necessary payroll reports are completed accurately and on a regular basis to safeguard the University from penalties.
Mr. Parikh received his B.S. degree in accounting and law from Gujarat University in India and his M.S. degree in accounting from NJCU.
He resides in Rutherford with his wife Sudha. They are the parents of Sanyam and Nilesh, who attend Boston University, and Payal, a second year medical student at Robert Wood Johnson.
Mr. Parikh’s favorite leisure activities are traveling, swimming, and reading.
