Cynthia Waiters, library associate in New Jersey City University’s Guarini Library, is the recipient of the Employee of the Month Award for May 2008.
Ms. Waiters began her employment at the University in 1992 as a senior clerk typist in the Library. She was promoted to principal clerk typist in 1997 and then to library associate in 2005.
Ms. Waiters is assigned to Library Catalogues. She is responsible for preparing new books for the library shelves and works with reference, curriculum materials collection, and juvenile books for both circulating and non-circulating books. She especially enjoys working with students and training student assistants.
Ms. Waiters resides in Jersey City. She is the mother of four children, three boys and one girl. In her leisure time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and singing in a senior choir.
