The Office of Employee Relations is responsible for developing, implementing and interpreting policies and programs for faculty, professional staff and managerial administrators. The office coordinates policies and programs for tenure, promotion, faculty range adjustments, sabbatical leaves and evaluation and reappointment procedures. In addition, the office monitors compliance with other policies, statutes and procedures. The office establishes and maintains a stable labor-relations environment between the University and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).
