Counseling (M.A.) with specializations in:

  • Clinical Mental Health Counseling

  • School Counselor (Certification)

Admission requirements:

  • A completed graduate application form, including a $55 non-refundable application fee
  • A minimum of 500-1,000 word essay discussing your goals and objectives for pursuing admission to the degree program to which you are applying
  • Official transcripts from all previous colleges attended or official NACES course-by- course evaluation of any foreign transcripts
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation
  • Professional Resume or CV
  • Official copy of GRE scores or waiver
  • Interview
  • Official documentation of English Language Proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS) or waiver if applicable

Pre-requisites:

  • Must have taken at least 2 Psychology or Counseling classes

Courses only Option:

If you are not interested in working toward a graduate degree, but want to take a few graduate classes, applying for Courses Only is a great option.

Admission requirements:

  • A completed graduate application form, including a $55 non-refundable application fee

  • A 250-500 word essay discussing your goals and objectives for pursuing admission to the program to which you are applying (for Play Therapy)

Pre-requisites:

  • Must hold a master’s degree in Counseling or other equivalency
  • Must have 3 years of experience as a certified school counselor (for Director of School Counseling Services Certification)
  • Must have a state mental health license such as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Marriage Family Therapist (MFT). (for Play Therapy Certification)
