The Joint Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Health Information Management at NJCU and Rutgers-SHRP is accredited by the Commission on Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)

Upon satisfactory completion of course requirements, the graduate is eligible to sit for the national registry examination. A passing grade on the examination establishes the graduate as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), administered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). AHIMA is currently the only certification body for Health Information Management professionals.

Visit AHIMA's RHIA certification page for more details on eligibility requirements, or contact Dr. Tom Liu at (201) 200-3140 for specific questions.
