M.A. in Urban Education - ESL Specialization

  • There are three different routes available for the ESL Specialization, depending on whether you would like to obtain an ESL Teacher Certification:

     


    M.A. Urban Education (ESL Specialization)

    Note:  There is no teaching certification with this option.   

    This master’s degree program is designed for students who hold a standard New Jersey Department of Education certification. To enter this program, students must satisfy general admissions requirements for graduate study at NJCU. Students are strongly encouraged to take the courses listed below in the specified phases.

To enter this program, students must satisfy general admissions requirements for graduate study at NJCU, as discussed in the Graduate Catalog, as well as meeting the state of New Jersey’s requirements for demonstrating Language Proficiency.
