Dr. EunSu Lee Earns ACBSP Teaching Award

Dr. EunSu Lee, Assistant Professor of Management, NJCU School of Business, was recently honored with a 2017 Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Teaching Excellence Award for Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Programs. Lee’s teaching abilities were measured against those of business school faculty from colleges and universities in the Northeast Region, an area that includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Canadian provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Quebec.

ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award applicants are judged on a host of criteria, including their ability to communicate effectively; to plan, prepare, and deliver effective classroom presentations; and to establish and maintain a positive rapport with students within an educational environment. Other mitigating factors include educational and professional experience, a history of curriculum development, an ability to adapt, and a commitment to the community.

Lee joined the NJCU School of Business faculty in 2015. Before becoming a teacher, he joined the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at North Dakota State University (NDSU) as an associate research fellow, providing his knowledge of data modeling and business analytics in logistics, transportation, and supply chain management to public agencies around the state to improve transportation infrastructure. He received his Ph.D. in Transportation and Logistics and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management from NDSU. In his long career, he has worked as an information analyst in information technology, a management and logistics consultant, and a transportation researcher.
