NJCU Announces Creation of Entrepreneur Society

New Jersey City University has announced the creation of the NJCU Entrepreneur Society, a campus organization that will foster entrepreneurial learning through the exchange of ideas and the formation of relationships between and among University students, faculty and alumni and other leaders in business, industry, and government.

A joint project of the NJCU Office of Alumni Relations and the University’s Business Development Incubator (BDI), the NJCU Entrepreneur Society will provide students with a mentoring environment and opportunities to learn first-hand about entrepreneurship.

The NJCU Entrepreneur Society will hold its first event, “A Salute to Entrepreneurship,” an afternoon program that will feature a keynote address by Robert Larson, president of Berman Larson Kane, one of the country’s leading information technology and human resource staffing firms, on Wednesday, September 24. The program will be held 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at NJCU’s BDI, 285 West Side Avenue in Jersey City.

Among the NJCU alumni who have joined the Society and will attend the program are John (Jay) Campbell (’65), CEO of CAV Program Sponsorships; Eldonie S. Mason (’02) owner of Mason Firm, LLC; Wendy Oliveras (’98), CEO of Oliveras & Company, Inc.; Tanisha Pleasant (’06), owner of Pleasantly Entertained; and Vijay Sammy (’94), a partner with Vijay Sammy, CPA, LLC.
