NJCU to Offer October and November Sessions of 'Certified Alarm Installer' Course on Weekday Evenings
New Jersey City University will offer two evening sessions of its two-week “Certified Alarm Installer” course this fall. The first course will meet October 12-29 and the second, November 2-19.
Offered through NJCU’s Office of Continuing Education, both sessions will meet 5:15 – 8:45 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, on the NJCU campus at 2039 Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City.
NJCU’s “Certified Alarm Installer” course prepares students for the examination required to become a Certified Alarm Technician. While covering theory, installation, and maintenance of electronic alarm systems, the course will include demonstrations of analog verses digital, and CCTV verses direct internet access.
To provide hands-on experience in simulated alarm system installation, classes are limited to 12 students.
Course instructor is Alan Glasser, who is certified by the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association as an instructor and technician and is a National Alarm Association of America certified instructor.
Registration, which includes examination fees, a course book, and equipment, is $2,500.00.
