NJCU to Offer One-Day “Healthcare Provider’ Courses for Certificaiton, Re-certification
New Jersey City University will offer one-day “Healthcare Provider” initial certification and re-certification courses this fall.
Offered through NJCU’s Office of Continuing Education, all courses will meet 10:00 a.m. –2:00 p.m. on the NJCU campus at 2039 Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. Registration for each course is $65.00.
Initial certification courses will be offered on Wednesday, October 7; Wednesday, November 11; and Monday, December 7.
Re-certification courses will be offered on Tuesday, October 20; Monday, November 30; and Friday, December 18.
The four-hour Basic Life Saving (BLS) Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals working in a broad range of settings with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies; provide CPR, including oxygen-assisted resuscitation for patients of all ages; use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED); and relieve an obstructed airway (choking) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
Instructor for all courses will be Mark Cohen of CPR and First Aid Consulting Firm.
