NJCU to Offer One-Day Course, ‘Career Endurance: Thriving in Turbulent Times,’ at Waterfront Site in Jersey City on Friday, June 26
New Jersey City University will offer the one-day course, “Career Endurance: Thriving in Turbulent Times,” on Friday, June 26, at its off-campus site on the Jersey City waterfront.
Offered through NJCU’s Office of Continuing Education, the course will meet 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the site, located at Harborside Financial Center 4A, 286 Washington Street, second floor, in Jersey City. Registration is $150.00.
“Career Endurance: Thriving in Turbulent Times” will cover ways to develop leadership and communications skills and how to adapt and thrive in new business environments. The course will also cover such job protection strategies as self promotion, the selection of mentors, aligning with a company’s rising stars, being chosen for high-exposure projects, and the development of professional affiliations through industry events and conferences.
Course instructor will be Ethan Chazin, president of The Chazin Group, an employment consulting and career coaching business, and an adjunct professor at New York University and St. John’s University. Prior to launching his own business, Mr. Chazin worked in the private sector for 20 years, holding marketing and sales management positions at such firms as Dun & Bradstreet, Reuters, Thomson Financial, and Time Warner Cable. He holds an M.B.A. in marketing from George Washington University, and a B.A. in communications from California State University, Hayward.
