NJCU to Offer Five One-Day Courses Applicable Towards Certification as Alcohol and Drug Counselor by Addiction Professionals Certification Board
New Jersey City University will offer five one-day courses through the “Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor” program of its Office of Continuing Education on Thursdays this summer.
All courses are applicable towards certification as an alcohol and drug counselor by the Addiction Professionals Certification Board of New Jersey, Inc. NJCU issues a certificate stating the study hours completed for each course.
All courses will meet 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the University campus at 2039 Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. Registration for each course is $75.00.
Summer courses will include “Dimensions of Recovery,” on Thursday, June 25; ”Consultation” on Thursday, July 9; “Assessment Tools” on Thursday, July 16: “Group Counseling” on Thursday, July 23; and “Psychological Client Education” on Thursday, July 30.
