Gifts from the Heart
Mon., 11/9-Mon., 11/30-NJCU's 14th annual Gifts from the Heart Project collects and distributes clothes and toys to children in need. The campaign seeks donations of new and gently used winter clothes, stuffed animals, toys, complete games, ribbon, wrapping paper, decorations, gift bags, and boxes. University Lecture
Tues., 11/17-His Excellency Clovis Maksoud, former ambassador and permanent observer of the League of Arab States at the United Nations and its chief representative in the United States for more than 10 years, is featured in NJCU’s 2009-2010 University Lecture Series. A lawyer, journalist, and diplomat who is director of American University's Center for the Global South, Ambassador Maksoud is the author of several books on the Middle East and developing countries, including The Meaning of Nonalignment, The Crisis of the Arab Left, Reflections on Afro-Asianism, and The Arab Image.
