RN-BSN

New Jersey City University offers an upper-division program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and is limited to Registered Nurses. The RN-BSN program may be completed as a full- or part-time student. Admission to the RN-BSN program is restricted to nurses who are graduates of diploma or associate degree programs or out of country nurses who are eligible for RN licensure in the U.S.

All students are required to obtain a current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey prior to taking their clinical course – Nursing Process and Health Promotion Groups/Community Theory and Laboratory (NURS 451 + 452).

ACCELERATED BSN

The Accelerated BSN is a full-time, 12-month, 64-credit program for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree in any field and have completed the prerequisite courses. The program is offered in two NJCU locations, the Jersey City campus and the Wall Township, NJ campus. The program is very competitive, accepting roughly 70-80 students per year. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and will be eligible to sit for the Registered Nurse licensing exam (NCLEX-RN).

MS SPECIALIZING IN NURSING EDUCATION

NJCU offers a part-time Master of Science (MS) with a Major in Nursing, Specializing in Nursing Education as well as a Post-Master’s Certificate Program.

Students can complete the 37-credit MS degree program in approximately two years. Students can begin the program in either the spring or the fall. The program is designed to provide a solid foundation for nurses to transition to careers as nurse educators.
