Graduate Requirements

  • Graduate International Applicant Instructions:

     
    International applicants must submit ALL of the following items to the Office of Graduate Studies, not later than June 15 to be considered for Fall Semester and November 1st to be considered for Spring Semester admission:
     
    1. A completed graduate application http://www.njcu.edu/Forms-Library 
      including a $40 non-refundable application fee, check or money order payable to “NJCU”. 
    2.  
    3. A 250-500 word essay discussing your goals and objectives for pursuing admission to the degree program to which you are applying.
    4.  
    5. Official copy of TOEFL scores.
    6.  
    7. Official copy of appropriate program test scores- GRE, MAT, or GMAT -see http://www.njcu.edu/Graduate-Admissions-Test-Requirements/ 
            
      Please note that the Graduate Office offers a waiver GMAT/ GRE in some cases. Information is here 
    8.  
    9. Completed “Application for Matriculation” form available at http://www.njcu.edu/Forms-Library 
    10.  
    11. Two (2) letters of recommendation.
    12.  
    13. Two official copies of all U.S. transcripts. Transcripts from foreign  
       schools must be evaluated by World Education Services www.wes.org
       Please request a course by course evaluation that lists individual 
       subjects and grades and a final Grade Point  Average.
    14.  
    15. Resume (only required for: Accounting, Criminal Justice, Finance, Health 
       Science and Professional Security Studies)
    16.  
    17. Applicants for Art or Music programs should see additional application 
       requirements  (portfolio or audition) listed online in the Graduate Catalog.
