Biography Richard Lavoie has served as an administrator of residential programs for special need populations for 30 years. He holds three degrees in Special Education, and has served as adjunct professor or guest lecturer at Syracuse University , Harvard, Gallauadet, University of Alabama , Georgetown and others. He serves as a consultant on Learning Disabilities to PBS, The New York Times, National Center for Learning Disabilities, Girl Scouts of America, Child Magazine, WETA, and serves on the Professional Advisory Board, of the Learning Disabilities Association. Rick is well known for two videos: “How Difficult Can This Be?: The F.A.T.
