Here are three photos and one movie clip from the ANA Visioning Workshop held on April 12th, 2003
at NJCU for the Westside Development Project.
The Westside Development Project is seeking to improve the area around NJCU and the West Side
Light Rail Station through partnering and public participation.
NJCU, The City of Jersey City, The Jersey City Board of Education
and NJ Transit are collaborating to spark revitalization of the area.
A. Nelessen Associates, a Visioning, Planning, and Urban Design consultant, is facilitating
stakeholder meetings and public Visioning Workshops using the ANA Visioning Process. A Transportation Studio at
the Bloustein School of Urban Planning at Rutgers, an Architecture/Infrastructure Planning Studio at NJIT's School
of Architecture, and a Cooperative Education course in Geoscience at NJCU are working with ANA to deliver this
project. Phase One is a Site Analysis and Transportation Analysis. Phase Two is a process in which Design
Recommendations will be generated.
