OPEN HOUSES FOR NEW STUDENTS WILL BE HELD ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:
HCST - Explore 2000 Middle School: Monday, February 9th, 2015 7 pm
BBOE - Washington Community School: Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 6 pm
EH - East Hanover Middle School: Thursday, February 12th, 2015 6 pm
JCPS / OTHER - New Jersey City University: Wednesday, February 25th, 2015 6 pm
Proyecto Science Place and Time:
The summer 2015 session of Proyecto Science will be held at New Jersey City University (
) and East Hanover Middle School (EHMS). The expected dates for the summer session are to be announced. The program runs from Monday-Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm at the NJCU campus and 9 am to 4 pm at the EHMS campus (*). On select Fridays, Engineering Days will be held at the participating districts.
Proyecto Science (PS):
is a five-week summer program which focuses on advancement in mathematics, sciences, computer science and technology for select middle and high school students. PS offers its participants intensive courses in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Geometry, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology. The three year summer program begins with 7th graders in PS1 (first year). Successful students that complete PS1 are invited back for PS2 and PS3 in their 8th and 9th grade years in numbers determined by available funding. Proyecto Science Cost and Participants:
Participation in the program is dependent on funding from school districts and other sponsors. Participants in the program are selected by the participating public schools following the eligibility requirements set by PS and the public school districts. All interested 7th grade applicants must attend an Open House.
(*) Depending upon availability of financial support. The program may not run for the second and third year if necessary funds are not acquired.
