    The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Committee is established to be a liaison to the Campus Community and to effectively address environmental, health and safety related issues. 

    The EHS Committee meets monthly and is comprised of 15 members representing the unions, senate, divisions and students of the University.

    The EHS Committee’s declared purpose is to: 
     
    1. Promote awareness of health and safety 
    2. Maintain active interest in health and safety 
    3. Identify safety and health issues 
    4. Reduce accidents (Goal 5%, 10%) 
    5. Recommend effective action 
    6. Monitor and improve workplace health and safety
