  • College Level Examination Program

    CLEP (College Level Examination Program) allows a student to validate knowledge of college level courses gained through independent work and/or experience. There are 35 different exams available. A minimum score of “50” is required for transfer credit.  NJCU allows students to CLEP up to 96 credits towards a degree.  For more information on CLEP, please visit http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html .

    NYU Language Proficiency Examination

    New York University offers proficiency tests in over 50 foreign languages that may be used to gain academic credit at NJCU.  New Jersey City University will accept up to 12 credits for the successful completion of this proficiency exam.  NYU Language Proficiency examinations are given by appointment only at the NYU campus.  To make an appointment to be tested, please call 212-998-7171 or visit http://www.scps.nyu.edu/areas-of-study/foreign-languages/continuing-education/.
     
    All official exam scores and results must be forwarded directly to NJCU's Transfer Resource Center for evaluation.  The address for the TRC is as follows:
