Experiential Learning Sites
About Experiential Learning Site Projects
In year two of the program, teams of 2-3 students are assigned to a community college partner site to work on a project virtually. Each student is expected to spend approximately 100 over the course of the academic year on the project. To assist with the assigned project and also with their professional goals, each student received 20 hours of mentoring by a community college leader.
2021-2022 Partners and Projects
Bragg & Associates
The community college leadership students will be gathering data on community college baccalaureate programs from state agencies and community colleges in all 50 states using website searches, document review, interviews and focus groups, and other descriptive methods
Bucks County Community College
Our students at Bucks County Community College will research the CRLA's peer educator training guidelines and develop a training program that builds upon our current framework and aligns with the standards set forth by CRLA.
Camden County College
Camden County College recently launched a President's Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the community college leadership students will assist committees aimed at improving social justice and advocacy on campus.
County College of Morris
The project is to create assessment plans, including program learning outcomes, assessment instruments, and a schedule of assessment, for programs in County College of Morris' Center for Workforce Development
Mercer County Community College
The community college leadership students will conduct research to assist with Mercer County Community College's reaccreditation cycle with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Middlesex College
The community college leadership students will assist the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion advisory Council and its task forces with their work toward achieving the newly established strategic goal addressing equitable and inclusive excellence by providing research and assessment support.
Rowan College at Burlington County
Rowan College at Burlington County was awarded at Title III grant and our students will research best practices in a momentum year, low income and minority male retention, first-year and orientation programs, and faculty development.
Sussex County Community College
Sussex County Community College will be conducting research and assisting the college with completing an application for accreditation by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships.

Assisting with the dual enrollment accreditation process.

Transitioning an in-person new student orientation into an online, multiple touchpoint set of modules.
Online Program Retention
Assessing completion rates in online programs and providing strategies for increasing retention and graduation.
