Professional Development

Teacher Interns participate in monthly professional development experiences to strengthen their classroom experiences. Work is completed that addresses effective instructional strategies and appropriate pedagogy. Emphasis is placed on ways to encourage student engagement and motivation while working in urban schools.

The professional development experiences affords the interns the opportunity to also engage in faculty research. Interns collaborate with faculty to study current trends in learning and teaching. Opportunities are available to present at conferences and publish.
