Frank Rivera
As a non-traditional college student, I started my academic career after serving 8 years in the United States Air Force. Not wanting to jump into a major once enrolled, I found myself exploring what NJCU had to offer, stumbling into a life-changing class, Issues in Religion. One class was all it took for me to realize the impact studying Philosophy could have on a person. The study of Philosophy has opened my mind in ways I never thought possible, changing the way I read and process information in both my personal and professional life. Currently, I am the Coordinator of Middlesex County College's nationally recognized Veterans Services Center, where I assist fellow brothers and sisters in arms achieve their dream of pursuing a degree in higher education. I can say without reservation the knowledge I've gained from NJCU's Philosophy Program has played a vital role in my career success.
