Our Languages

World Flight Patterns

Studying another language is also studying a different culture and communicating with other people. In an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world, speaking more than one language and knowing other cultures are essential skills for any professional career. Additionally, learning a new language develops a variety of personal abilities and qualities, such as openmindedness, perseverance, creativity, flexibility, and self-confidence.

You can study a language as part of a major or a minor but you can also take any language class as an NJCU general elective.

Our language courses are offered on a regular basis, but not every semester. Because of this, you are advised to consult the schedule of classes each semester to determine our department’s most current offerings.
