American English Program

American English Program

CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH, ACADEMIC ENGLISH, TOEFL PREPARATION, AND BUSINESS ENGLISH

The American English Program features a year-round schedule for all ages. It has multiple start dates, quick and easy access to Manhattan, and conditional admission to NJCU degree programs. We also offer intensive TOEFL classes.

All students are interviewed and tested to determine the level for placement.

Starting with Beginning, it continues to higher levels of English, for speaking, listening, reading and writing. Included for foreign professionals are comprehensive Business English courses and preparatory classes for looking for work including learning about American culture, resume preparation, interviewing skills, and networking. This is a great way for spouses of transferred foreign professionals to learn English and continue their career while they are living here!

NJCU is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant aliens for English Language instruction in an Intensive English Program. To register as an F1/I-20 student please CONTACT US.

The NJCU ESL Department offers advanced Academic English courses to prepare students for university study. Contact us to arrange an ESL placement test and see our English proficiency requirements for degree programs.
