The Division of Professional Education and Lifelong Learning (PELL) is partnering with the Music, Dance and Theatre (MDT) Department and its acclaimed faculty, to host a Summer 2021 Multi-Style String Educators Symposium.

The four-day event will be held Monday, July 26 through Thursday, July 29, each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Play ahead of the curve!” is the slogan of Martha Mooke, renown electro-acoustic violist, Yamaha Leading string artist and founder of NJCU’s groundbreaking Multi-Style Strings Program.

Martha Mooke will be joined by some of the world’s leading Multi-Style String virtuosos and educators including Regina Carter, Jeremy Kittel and Dave Eggar. The esteemed faculty will provide exclusive, in-person instruction to the participants following strict COVID-19 protocols.

Certificates of completion with 20 professional development hours will be awarded to in-person attendees but those unable to attend the in-person event will have the opportunity to audit the course virtually.

The deadline to register is June 1, 2021 and space is limited for this exceptional opportunity.
